Inside DFW 🏀 HS Gamenight: Dallas Pinkston Outlasts Fort Worth OD Wyatt 80-78 In Triple OT!
InsideDFWBasketball.com GameNight featured 2 of the top teams in the state in their respective classes as 4A Dallas Pinkston traveled down I-20 West for a showdown against 5A FW OD Wyatt. Both teams came into the matchup fresh off loses at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest and looking to get back on track. A standing room only crowd showed up to see some of the highly anticipated individual matchups that featured Wyatt Senior Guard/Troy signee Myles Rigsby and Pinkston 5-,star junior prospect Dink Pate. An intense game that saw Pinkston take a double digit lead late in the 3rd quarter before a valiant comeback effort by Wyatt late in the 3rd and 4th quarter to tie the game and force overtime on a Myles Rigsby layup as time expired. Wyatt lost some momentum when 6'10 center Nick Gunter fouled out but ultimately this game would be decided at the free throw line. 5-star Dink Pate knocked down 2 key free throws at the end of the 3rd OT period for the win as Dallas Pinkston prevails 80-78.
