WE NEED YOUR

SUPPORT

Teamwork makes the Dream work!

We are a small non-profit that runs one of the top youth development programs in Dallas/Ft Worth. We serve thousands of youth and families through our mentoring and sports programs on a 'shoe-string' budget and have costs like any other top organization: We take no government funds. We survive on the generosity of others with donations averaging about $15. Imagine if everyone reading this gave $5; our fundraising would be done within an hour. Heads Up! is something special. We are a village of support for thousands of kids in our communities. We are a place of refuge, a place where youth can go to learn life and sports skills. If you believe it takes a village to raise a child, and believe in our mission of enriching and enhancing the lives of youth, take one minute to help us make a difference. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to impacting and inspiring young lives.

Thank you.

"My son who plays basketball wanted to be apart of an Organization that would teach him something.Well we were both in for surprise when my son joined "Heads up".. My son loved the special attention that Mr.Johnson provides for each individual child. You see, I'm a single parent and,my son loves the times he gets to spend with Heads Up Teachers. He's learned how to be responsible. He's also have learned about different careers that he had never knew that existed until joining Heads Up. He also loves the outings as well. I think it has helped him grow into a mature teenager. As a parent, the foundation has helped me personally by allowing me to have "outreach" opportunities for my son. Someone to call and say hey can you talk to my son about this or that. That says a lot to me. Boys sometimes need to hear things from someone other than their "Mom". I hope for my son to be in the organization until he's 18 and hopefully he'll give back one day. Thanks Heads Up!! Continue doing the good work you do for the community as a whole. I wish your program would go national; we need more programs like this in the community."

"Some of my most memorable summer days have been helping out with the Heads Up Foundation, which was started by a wonderful young man by the name of Mr. Jabari Johnson and his loving family. I have participated in the summer basketball camps and leadership program and have had the honor to watch and see so many young people grow and flourish. The children who participate are learning more than just basketball they are learning team work, cooperation, discipline and self worth. I am very proud to call myself part of the Heads Up Foundation Family, because it is just that a family! Many many thanks to Mr. Jabari Johnson and the Johnson Family for your love of the community and the children of the Dallas, Fort Worth Area."
